Above them, a remarkable sky moves between pale yellow and soft blue-green, giving the painting its gentle, almost dreamlike quality.

The handling is loose and expressive, with an Impressionistic and slightly Post-Impressionist sensibility. Rather than describing every detail, the artist concentrates on colour, atmosphere and the relationship between the land and the changing light.

It was the sky that made me buy this painting.
