Douglas Thomson was born in Greenock, Scotland in 1955. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art between 1974-1978. Thomson has exhibited widely, with major solo shows in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Bath, Nürnberg, Munich and Gstaad.
