A country oak stool or side table by Jack Grimble of Cromer English 1940-50. Excellent colour. His work is partly inspired by the Arts and Crafts furniture of the late 19th Century and partly of primitive design.

Carved to the inside of one leg “Jack Grimble”.

Jack Grimble of Cromer Norfolk is often compared to Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson and other craftsmen from the 'Yorkshire Critters' school and is becoming more and more collectible. He worked on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and included commissions for the Royal Family.

Jack Grimble created his style after careful study of medieval English furniture techniques, construction and materials.
