Framed monoprint of North Bridge, Edinburgh by Selina Thorp.
Born in Leeds in 1968, Selina studied at Jacob Kramer College of Art (now Leeds College of Art) before graduating in 1990 from Edinburgh College of Art with an honours degree in drawing and painting. Influential tutors at Edinburgh were David Michie and William Baillie and lecturers Elizabeth Blackadder, John Houston and Victoria Crowe.
Since graduating she has worked independently, exhibiting regularly at the Walker Galleries (Harrogate) and The School House Gallery (Wighton); as well as undertaking various commissions from private and corporate clients. Work in private collections include: Marks & Spencer Head Office, London; Leeds United 100 Club; Valvona and Crolla Ltd., Edinburgh; Tetley’s Brewery, Leeds; Burton Agnes Hall, East Yorkshire; the Magistrates Court, Leeds; and the Finnish Consul, Edinburgh.
